Why I am leaving Aweber
Hell everyone,
I have been asked by many of you why am I leaving Aweber?
First let me say it isn’t because they aren’t any good in fact I consider them to be excellent.
I have used Aweber since I stated in the IM business almost 7 years ago now and I really have no complaints about their service with one exception. That exception is their price structure. When I first started with them you could have a list of 10,000 for 19.97 a month which I felt was very fair but, now you only get 500 for that same amount and worse it just keeps rising as your list gets bigger.
I started weighing the cost against the list size and decided that I could save a ton by using my own responder. After all I have been using my responder for several years for giveaways and free offers then getting people to move to the Aweber list. I have several customers that are very happy using my responder also.
Most membership scripts come with built in mailing systems these days and the ones that I use are working very well for me so in order
to save a nice chunk of change each year I came to the conclusion that I would just use the service I own.
Now there are good and bad things about this. You run less risk of getting your email banned with a system like Aweber however I have tested my responder for more that 2 years now and haven’t had a problem. On top of that all my list members are double optin and there is always an unsub link at the bottom of every newsletter.
Now I am not saying this approach is for everyone this is just my 2 cents. I am in now way saying that if your with Aweber or any other list service and its working for you stay with them.
One real big advantage I have over some marketers is I have a very very loyal list. This can mean a lot when making a decision like this. I advise you to take the safest road available to you as it does make a difference.
So in a nutshell this was a personal decision and I have no other objection to Aweber or any other service out other that the one stated above.
Now you know the method in my madness…
Jim
